Business Coaching
Business Coaching That Works With Your Brain, Not Against It
Personalised one-to-one support to help you untangle challenges, stay focused, and move forward clearly – ideal for founders with ADHD, busy minds, or too much on their plate.
Space To Think, Plan, And Make Better Decisions
Running a business can feel noisy. You’re making decisions constantly, juggling too many priorities, and trying to stay motivated while keeping everything afloat. Business coaching gives you a calm, structured space to step back, think things through, and make progress that actually sticks.
This is focused, supportive one-to-one business coaching designed around the way you work. If you have ADHD or struggle with overwhelm, you’ll get approaches that work with your brain rather than against it.
A Thinking Partner Who Helps You Untangle What’s Going On
When you’re deep in the day-to-day, it’s hard to see things clearly. Coaching gives you protected space to slow down, step back, and make sense of what’s actually happening without pressure or judgement.
With Nicola, you get:
- Space to think clearly without pressure
- A sounding board who asks the right questions
- Someone who can spot patterns you can’t
- Practical guidance when you need direct answers
- Accountability that helps you follow through
Some sessions will focus on reflection and problem-solving. Others will shift into consultancy when you need clarity fast. Most blend the two.

FAQs
Do I need clear goals to start?
No — absolutely not. Many clients come to coaching precisely because they don’t have a clear sense of their goals. That’s often what we work on first. Sometimes you need coaching to figure out what you actually want, not just how to get there. We can figure it out together.
Is there a contract or commitment?
There are no long-term contracts, but all coaching packages require a minimum monthly commitment with sessions pre-scheduled in advance and paid upfront. This structure is what makes coaching effective — having regular thinking space booked in ensures you actually work on your business strategy. You can adjust your package frequency (move from weekly to fortnightly, etc.) or pause as needed, but the commitment to regular sessions is what creates breakthrough thinking.
How is this different from business consultancy?
Coaching is primarily about helping you find your own answers through questions, exploration, and guided thinking. Consultancy is about providing expert advice and solutions based on my experience. However, I’m flexible — if you’re really struggling and need me to tell you what I think, I can shift into consultancy mode within your coaching session. You’re paying for my time to help you, and I’ll use whatever approach serves you best in the moment. Many sessions blend both — coaching to explore, consultancy when you need answers, and accountability to ensure follow-through.
How is business coaching different from accountability support?
Accountability is primarily about helping you follow through on actions you’ve already identified. Coaching is about exploring, problem-solving, gaining understanding, and figuring out what those actions should be. Many clients benefit from both — coaching to work through challenges and develop direction, accountability to ensure follow-through. They complement each other beautifully.
What if I'm not sure whether I need coaching or consultancy?
That’s completely ok — and exactly what the discovery call is for. We’ll discuss your situation and I’ll recommend the best approach. Sometimes clients start with coaching and add consultancy when they need specific expertise. Sometimes they want pure consultancy. Often it’s a blend. We’ll figure out what serves you best.
Can you coach me on things outside of business?
Yes, to an extent. Business challenges are often intertwined with personal challenges — confidence, relationships, work-life balance, health, neurodivergent struggles. If it’s affecting your business, it’s relevant to coaching. However, I’m not a therapist. If you need therapeutic support for mental health challenges, I’ll recommend you work with an appropriate professional alongside business coaching.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Life happens. Just let me know as soon as possible. For regular scheduled sessions, we can usually reschedule. For ad-hoc bookings, cancellation terms will be clear at the time of booking. The goal is flexibility whilst respecting both our time.
Do you work with young people exploring career options?
Yes! I work with young adults and school leavers (typically 16+) who are exploring career direction, considering starting a business, or navigating the transition from education to work. This is particularly valuable for neurodivergent young people who may struggle with traditional career paths. Sessions can be the same format as business coaching but focused on career exploration and confidence building.
What happens in a typical coaching session?
Every session is different because it’s led by what you need. Typically we’ll start by checking in on where you are, explore the challenge or question you’ve brought, work through it using questions and frameworks, and end with a clear sense of your next steps. Some sessions are pure coaching — helping you think things through. Others might need me to shift into consultancy mode and give you direct answers. Accountability is woven throughout — I’ll follow up on commitments and help you stay on track. You’re paying for my time and expertise in whatever form helps you most. You set the agenda.
How long do people typically work with a business coach?
It varies widely. Some clients work with me intensively for 3-6 months around specific goals. Others maintain ongoing coaching for years because they value the regular strategic thinking space. Many start with weekly sessions during intensive periods, move to fortnightly as they gain momentum, and eventually maintain monthly sessions once they’re established. All packages require pre-scheduled sessions to maintain the structure that creates progress.
Can I combine coaching with your other services?
Absolutely — and in fact, flexibility is built into coaching sessions. Within a single coaching session, I can blend coaching (helping you think), consultancy (giving you answers when you’re stuck), and accountability (following up on commitments). You’re paying for my time and expertise to help you in whatever way serves you best. Many clients also maintain separate accountability support packages for intensive follow-through support, or engage me for specific consultancy projects. We can create whatever combination works for your needs.
What if I have ADHD or other neurodivergent traits?
That’s actually a strength in coaching with me. As someone with combined ADHD, I understand executive function challenges, time blindness, rejection sensitivity, perfectionism paralysis, and all the other joys of neurodivergence. I can coach you in ways that work with your brain, not against it. I won’t suggest strategies that sound good but you know won’t work for you.
What makes your business coaching different?
Several things:
- Flexible Approach: Primarily coaching-focused, but I’ll shift to consultancy or accountability when that’s what you need
- Lived Experience: I have ADHD and 20+ years of business experience, so I understand both business and neurodivergent challenges
- Practical + Mindset: I work on both the thinking challenges and can provide expert advice when needed
- Accountability Built In: Following up on commitments and supporting you to get things done is part of every coaching relationship
- Neurodiversity Informed: Everything I do accounts for different thinking styles and needs
- Real Support: You’re paying for my time to help you — I’ll use whatever approach serves you best in the moment
How do I know if I'm ready for coaching?
You’re ready for coaching if:
- You’re willing to be honest about what’s not working
- You’re open to trying new approaches
- You’re prepared to take action (even imperfect action)
- You want to invest in yourself and your business
- You’re looking for support, not someone to do it for you
You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to be “ready” in any other way. If you’re willing to engage in the process, coaching can help.
